Puerto Rico is blessed with a natural phenomenon that
is found in only a few other places on earth — it has 3 year-round
bioluminescent bays (or BioBays). There is La Parguera in Lajas in the
south-west of Puerto Rico, Mosquito Bay on Vieques and, the most visited one,
Laguna Grande in Fajardo in the north-east of Puerto Rico.
Kayaking Puerto Rico provides finest water tours and
other activities such as aquafari in Culebra, Bio-Bay, rainforest and mini boat
tours. Visitors can join a fully guided night kayak bioluminescent tour,
combine it with El Yunque hike, go to Culebra to snorkel with turtles or become
a captain on a 13′ inflatable boat snorkel trip along pristine cays and
the most beautiful beaches.
There are usually 2 trips per night: one right at
sundown and one about 8:00-8:30pm. They will ask you to get there about 30 mins
earlier. Each trip takes about 2.5 hours from start to finish. I like the
earlier one because at that time you can still see the iguanas in the trees
above you, and it is not so dark on your way through the channel, but it is
dark by the time you get to the lagoon. Would you like to know about the
cruises from Puerto Rico that offer many golf excursions?
